Outside the sun was getting low. In the west the sky was brlliant with red and gold, and these colours weеre shining from pools of water on the moor. I could see the two towers of Baskerville Hall, and far away a curl of smoke came from the village of Grimpen. All was quiet and lovely in the golden evening light.
