I think it's true. Each people think himself originaly, and each man see it world differently. The writer say his minds (мысли) with a paper and a pen or a computer, so each artist say his ideas with a paint and a brush.
A picture is a poem without words.. Interesting and right statement. I think, when we see a picture we are trying to imagine a lot of different stories which could happened if we were in this picture. we can have a lot of different and amazing feelings if picture is familiar for us, we can also remember something from the past. picture can tell us something without word, with the help of our memory..
