His first novel/poet was about the village and its residents. It also had illustrations / portraits which
made it very clear which residents he was writing about. In fact I think it was very inspiring /
disappointing that he laughed at all of us. The residents haven't spoken to him since. The
cover / scene of his latest bestseller is a lovely still life/watercolour of the village centre, which I did a few years ago. I gave it to him as a housewarming gift. I think it would be nice if he gave me something for using the picture.
