Hi guys! Greetings from Brazil! I've been here for two weeks now, and now I'm doing well. Right now, I'm sitting in a cafe in Manaus, a city where two rivers join to become the Amazon River. I am very tired but excited. Want to know why? I just got back from a safari in the Amazon! I have visited some great places, but nothing beats this. The safari was by boat - the only way to easily get through the huge rainforest. We started a week ago near the mouth of the river and slowly worked our way up the winding Amazon mile after mile through dense rainforest. We stopped every night to camp by the river. I've never seen so much wildlife. Fish, birds, monkeys and even a jaguar once, just before dark. I have never felt so alive! It was a unique experience. What about you guys? Have you ever had such memorable moments?
Commentary 15:02 Hello Keith! I've never been to Amazon, but after your description, I included it on my list of places to visit. Last year I won a competition and the prize was a vacation in Bali. I was abroad for the first time. I met many people and learned about a completely different culture and lifestyle. The trip abroad has changed me - I recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity.
