Pigs are one of the most intelligent and loyal pets. In October of 1998, Lulu, a pig, heroically saved the life of her owner, Jo Ann Altsman. On October 10, Altsman suffered from a heart attack alone in her home. Sensing that something was wrong, Lulu went outside, sat down in front of a moving car on the road just in front of the house. The motorist spent almost 45 minutes trying to move the pig off of the road but he was unsuccessful. Finally, Lulu managed to bring the driver into the house, where he found Jo on the floor and immediately telephoned an ambulance. At the hospital, doctors said that another 15 minutes and Jo could die. To thank Lulu for saving her life, Jo gives her a jelly doughnut every day. Jo is so happy with her pet that she always keeps her in the house, even though she now weighs 30kg!
