The Rooster (петух) and the Fox
One day, as the sun was setting, and old rooster flew up into a tree to sleep. Suddenly, a fox came up to the tree.
"Have you heard the wonderful news?" the fox asked very happily.
"What news?" asked the rooster.
"All animals have decided to forget A all their differences and live peacefully and happily B eating each other. Come down, my friend, I want to hug you!"
"Great!" said the rooster, looking at the road that led to the tree.
"What are you looking at? the fox asked.
"Oh, I C some dogs running down the road towards us. They probably heard the good news and coming to..."
The fox did not wait to D more, he started to run. "Where are you going?" The rooster shouted after him, "The dogs are your friends now!"
"Yes," answered the fox, "But they might not have heard the news".
The rooster smiled to himself and went to E.
