Rome is my favorite city. The first time I saw him in 2002, and I fell in love with him at first sight and for life. For the sake of this city, I even learned Italian. And it’s hard enough to get rid of the feeling of the implausibility of what is happening: are you really where you once founded the settlement of Romulus, where you performed the glorious deeds of the “people of the Quirites”, where you demanded the destruction of Carthage Cato, where you came to power, and then Caesar fell, where Nero went wild, where the Holy See established the Apostle Peter, where Michelangelo, Raphael and Gianlorenzo Bernini created.
